Join us in welcoming award-winning artist and MacArthur Fellow, Ned Kahn (of Sebastopol, CA) to Minneapolis!

Kahn is the creator of The Wave at the new Twins Stadium's Target Plaza. This is Minnesota's first commission by Kahn, adding to the artist's worldwide collection of over 40 elemental public artworks, including Milwaukee Waterfront's Wind Leaves, San Francisco Center for the Arts' Breathing Sky, and Pittsburgh Children’s Museum's Articulated Cloud.

See you on September 16 for the Artist Talk, Public Performance, and a special evening Benefit Celebration, featuring Ned Kahn and special guest Tom Oslund.

Meet Artist Ned Kahn

"The confluence of science and art has fascinated me throughout my career. For the last twenty years, I have developed a body of work inspired by atmospheric physics, geology, astronomy and fluid motion. I strive to create artworks that enable viewers to observe and interact with natural processes. I am less interested in creating an alternative reality than I am in capturing, through my art, the mysteriousness of the world around us."

Ned's artworks
incorporate flowing water, fog, sand and light to create complex and continually changing systems.
